🔊 In-System & Microphone Recording
Online or offline, in-system or microphone — you can record it either way.
"In-system recording" means capturing the sound played inside the device directly (the other side's voice in online classes, podcasts, online meetings); "microphone recording" means using the microphone to pick up voices from the environment.
When to Use In-System Recording
- Online classes, podcasts, videos, online sharing sessions;
- Wanting to keep a video's narration as a text transcript.
The advantage of in-system recording is that it's clean: not affected by environmental noise, and the transcription accuracy is higher.
When to Use Microphone Recording
- In-person meetings, interviews, classes;
- Casual ideas jotted down by yourself;
- Interviews, conversations.
How to Use It
- Enter the recording screen and tap the small phone icon in the top right;
- Start playing the content you want to record (for in-system), or place the device well (for microphone);
- Tap stop to end and save the recording.
⚠️ In-system recording depends on system capability, and behavior may differ across platforms and OS versions. If in-system recording isn't available, please update your system to the latest version and try again.
A Small Note
For microphone recording, we recommend not connecting earphones (earphone microphones have a very short effective recording range); before recording other people's speech, please follow local laws and the other person's wishes.
inFin provides the recording capability; how you use it is your responsibility.
