How to Get It on Each Platform

• iOS / iPad / Mac: head to the App Store and search for "inFin Notes" for a free download.
• Apple Watch: Search for inFin in the App Store on your Apple Watch and install it, or install it using the Watch app on your paired iPhone. watchOS 10.0 or later is required. The app supports recording on Apple Watch; check the watch app for other available features.
• Android: the public beta is live; check the Download section on the official website homepage. It is rolling out across Android app stores.

Why does Mac require Apple silicon? Because inFin's transcription and translation models run locally on-device, which needs the Neural Engine to be both fast and fully offline-capable.

What to Do When You First Open It

1. Allow microphone access — required for recording;
2. Turn on iCloud Sync (highly recommended) — so you don't lose data when switching devices. See iCloud Sync Across Devices;
3. Try a 10-second recording — confirm the transcription quality and get familiar with the interface.

FAQ

Q: Can I use it completely offline? Yes. Recording, supported on-device transcription and translation, writing and editing notes, and reading saved clips work offline. Fetching a new web page and syncing require an internet connection. See When You're Offline.

Q: How big is the app? About 300 MB+ (including on-device recognition models); notes and recordings grow with actual use.

Q: Are there ads? No. There aren't now, and there won't be.

Q: Can Android and iOS data sync with each other? Cross-platform private cloud sync is in development and internal testing, and will launch soon.

Q: Will my data still be there if I switch devices? Yes, as long as iCloud Sync is on. See iCloud Sync Across Devices.
