🎧 Playback & Navigation
Once recording is done, a replayable voice record is generated automatically.
Want to hear a particular sentence? Tap it, and you'll jump straight to that position.
Why This Matters
A regular voice recorder gives you a 2-hour audio bar; if you want to find a sentence, you have to drag the progress bar back and forth to try.
What inFin gives you is a text-and-audio aligned record: you read the text, find that sentence, tap it, and the audio starts from there.
That turns "re-listening" from a painful task into a one-handed task.
How to Use It
- Open a voice note and you'll see the transcribed text;
- Tap any sentence and the audio jumps to the corresponding timestamp to start playing;
- The marks you added during recording form a timeline you can jump straight to;
- Playback speed is adjustable — speed it up if you're short on time.
Three Common Uses
Verification: the AI summary says something you don't remember saying — listen to the original audio and confirm whether you really said it.
Catch-up: for class recordings, jump to your marks before an exam to review key points — much faster than listening from the start.
Intensive listening: tap a sentence in foreign-language material and listen to it on repeat — the most direct way to practice listening. See Languages & Cross-Language.
With Noise-Reduction Enhancement
The Pro large-model high-accuracy transcription paired with a carefully tuned noise-reduction and enhancement algorithm makes content recorded in noisy environments clearer on playback.
FAQ
Q: Is the jump accurate? Generally to the level of a sentence. For very fast exchanges or multiple people talking over each other, there may be some deviation.
Q: Can I export only a portion of the audio? No — you can only export the complete recording audio.
Q: What playback speed options are available? Supports 0.5x / 0.75x / 1.0x / 1.25x / 1.5x / 2.0x / 2.5x / 3.0x.
Q: Will the audio keep taking up space? Yes. inFin uses a recording compression algorithm that significantly reduces the size (about 7 MB/h), but we still recommend exporting and archiving regularly and then cleaning up.
