Do offline transcription and live translation support every device and language?
Not necessarily. On-device transcription and translation depend on your device, operating system, selected language and model. Check the available options in the app and test your device before travel or a meeting. Offline support does not mean identical support on every platform and in every language.
inFin provides realtime translation using supported on-device language models. Available transcription and translation languages depend on the selected model. Online transcription requires a connection; check the language list below and in the app before recording.

On supported devices, the on-device model provides Chinese–English transcription and translation. Prepare the required languages and models in advance. Results depend on the device, language and recording conditions.
What It Does
- Realtime translation: translations appear alongside the transcribed text, top and bottom;
- On-device model: no dependency on the cloud — faster response, better privacy;
- Offline-capable: Chinese (Simplified / Traditional) ↔ English and translation to other languages all work without a network;
- Two-way: Chinese → foreign language, and foreign language → Chinese, both work in real time.

How to Use It
- In the recording screen, choose "Transcription language" and "Translation language";
- Start recording; the screen shows both the original and the translation;
- When you stop, both are saved in the note — tap to view, or export.
FAQ
Q: Will the translation overwrite the original? No. Original and translation are saved sentence by sentence, so you can compare them side by side.
Q: Can professional terms get translated wrong? Yes. Compare with the original text or recording and manually correct the note. Ask AI is not yet available.
Q: Is offline transcription-and-translation accurate? The offline engine has been continuously optimized and is the only option when there's no network. When online, a stronger model is available.
Q: Is unlimited realtime translation free? Free users can use the unlimited transcription-and-translation backed by the Chinese-English offline language model; members can use the online high-accuracy transcription language for transcription and translation; the membership benefits are spelled out clearly there as well.
