Live Translation and Language Learning | inFin

Speak Chinese, get English. Realtime. Seamless.

Chinese–English on-device transcription and translation on supported devices.

Three Uses

1. Understand: foreign-language material translated to Chinese in real time

English online classes, podcasts, YouTube, foreign-language meetings — listen and read Chinese at the same time.

Mark key moments, and generate a Chinese summary after class.

2. Be understood: Chinese translated to a foreign language in real time

You speak Chinese, the screen shows English for the other party to read.

After the meeting, export bilingual side-by-side minutes. See Workplace Meetings.

3. Practice: self-test your spoken language

Record a clip in a foreign language and look at the transcription:

  • Words it can't transcribe → pronunciation issue;
  • Words transcribed but different from what you meant → expression issue.

Far more effective than practicing in front of a mirror.

  1. First pass: don't read the text, just listen, mark the parts you didn't catch;
  2. Second pass: read the transcription, and figure out the marked parts;
  3. Third pass: speed it up and listen again, confirm you can keep up.

The parts you didn't catch are where the learning happens. Marks are what pin those spots down.

Offline Works Great Too

Prepare supported languages and models before using offline translation. Results depend on the device, accent, terminology and recording conditions.

On a plane, or abroad with no signal, you can still understand and be understood. See When You're Offline.
