Lecture Transcription and Study Mind Maps | inFin

A 1-hour class โ†’ auto AI summary โ†’ review mind map.

A Typical Flow

  1. Before class: open inFin, tap record, put the phone on the desk;
  2. During class: when the teacher hits a key point, mark it on the fly; take a photo of the whiteboard or slides and insert it;
  3. After class: the transcribed text is already there โ€” tap "AI Summary";
  4. When reviewing: look at the Mind Map to recall the structure, then jump straight to key sections by marks on playback.

What used to require re-listening to a whole class now takes just over ten minutes.

What If the Class Is in a Foreign Language

Turn on Realtime Translation and read Chinese as you listen.

Mark the parts you didn't catch, and figure them out against the original after class โ€” the parts you didn't catch are where the learning happens.

See Languages & Cross-Language.

An Extra Use: Use Insights to Look at Your Own Learning

After a semester, you've already collected dozens of class notes.

Try the "Thought Trail" perspective of Deep Insight: it strings your semester's notes together by time, and points out the moment your thinking turned a corner.

Or try "Action Guide": it doesn't draw up a study plan for you, it just asks one question โ€” what's the smallest action you can take tomorrow?

FAQ

Q: Can a 3-hour long class be fully recorded? Choosing the offline language recognition has no time limit. Choosing the online large-model language recognition supports up to 5 hours of single-session recording. We suggest checking the battery midway.

Q: What if the classroom network is bad? No problem. The on-device model runs on your device, so you can record even offline, without limit.

Q: What if the teacher doesn't allow recording? Please ask for permission first. inFin provides the recording capability; how you use it is your responsibility.

Q: Can I only listen to the key points when reviewing? Yes โ€” jump by marks.
